April 2026 Newsletter

“I recommend the Purpose Forum! Great space to meet new people who want to do good and are like minded.”
— March '26 Purpose Forum attendee

Hello Netweaver,

On April 29, we’re stepping into a conversation about mentorship—and the kind of impact one relationship can have on the direction of a life.

This month’s Purpose Forum brings together a story of mentorship, second chances, and entrepreneurship—where two very different life paths intersect in a way that’s both unexpected and deeply human.

It’s not a panel.
It’s not theory.
It’s a real relationship, unfolding in real time—right here in our community.

You’ll hear what it takes to rebuild, to be supported, and to step into a new chapter with purpose.
And you may find yourself reflecting on your own role in the lives of others—often in ways you don’t even realize.

Because sometimes, the turning point in someone’s life…
starts with a single connection.

A Room That Holds These Conversations

If you’ve been to a recent Purpose Forum, you know the kind of space this becomes.

At our March gathering, we explored a complex and often unseen issue—and what stood out wasn’t just the learning, but the way people showed up for it.

“The meaningful conversations are everything.”
“Being in a room full of people who care about community.”
“I meet partners here that I don’t see in any other spaces.”

Even with a heavy topic, the energy in the room was one of connection, curiosity, and shared responsibility.

That’s what happens when people choose to be in the room.

And it’s exactly what we’re creating again on April 29.

If you want to be part of this kind of conversation, now is a good time to step in. Save your seat → HERE

In community,

Porcia

P.S. We’re already halfway full with two weeks to go, and these gatherings tend to fill with people who are ready to connect and contribute. If it’s been on your mind, now’s a good time to say yes.

Local Act of Goodness

Each month, we’ll highlight simple yet powerful acts of generosity happening across the Grand Valley—because community health grows through everyday contributions.

🌟 Atlasta Solar Center recently made a $20,000 donation to the Colorado Health Network, it came with no strings attached.

No requirements.
No recognition needed.

Just a clear decision to invest in the health and well-being of the community.

A simple gesture. A meaningful start. A reminder that how we show up matters.

Acts of Goodness — Alpine Bank Series

Generosity often shows up in moments no one is assigned to handle.  At Alpine Bank’s Mesa Mall branch, one employee quietly stepped forward simply because her heart told her to.   Outside of work hours and without using paid volunteer time, she chose to help lead a community effort with Blue Star Mothers of Western Colorado, an organization dedicated to honoring and supporting military families.

The annual Blue Star Mothers Military Bound Graduate Celebration Picnic brings together service members, veterans, their loved ones, and community members to celebrate high school graduates who are entering military service.  The event honors the achievements of students across the Western Slope while also offering a meaningful reminder to families who have already sacrificed so much that their commitment is seen and valued.

When help was needed to coordinate and support the picnic, she did not hesitate.  She volunteered her time, energy, and leadership because this cause is deeply personal to her.  She helped organize logistics, rally volunteers, and ensured the day felt welcoming and thoughtful for everyone who attended.  This effort was never about recognition or checking a box.  It was about doing what felt right.  While paid volunteer time was available, she chose instead to give freely, dedicating many hours and days of personal time out of genuine care and compassion.

Before the bank event and volunteer coordinator even had the picnic on their radar, she was already assisting with planning, fundraising, and marketing, and had coordinated volunteers from two Alpine Bank locations.  That same generosity extends to other initiatives she leads with the organization, including care baskets prepared for military families.

This story reflects the spirit that lives throughout Alpine Bank.  Employees bring their whole selves to their work and into their communities.  They notice needs and respond with care, without needing to be asked, compensated, or praised, with everything they do being rooted in generosity.

    Spring Activity Across the County

As the season picks up, you’ll see progress on infrastructure projects, maintenance work and other county services. Many of these efforts are planned months — and sometimes years — in advance and are designed to support safety, mobility and long-term community needs.

We’ll continue sharing updates as the season unfolds.
